Large expressive Swedish portrait of a woman resting. On the right-hand side of the canvas there is a clay pot with red flowers and a book on a tabletop. 

Signed Svän Grandin, 1906-1982. Grandin's style is defined by his use of brushwork in an etching motion, as well as subjects of rural Swedish landscapes and portraits. His works can be seen in the city of Borås' museum.

Oil on panel in vintage gilt and wood frame.
