Blue Street

Expressive painting of a street scene with a man in white walking towards the viewer, probably in Morocco.

Signed Hans Ripa,1912-2001, Ripa studied in his native Skäne, and then in Paris and Copenhagen. He travelled widely and painted all over Europe, including the South of France and in North Africa. He also worked as a theatre scenery painter and is widely held in museums throughout Sweden.
