Sandy Beach

Absolutely stunning Swedish mid century seascape of a beautiful sandy beach and a limpid blue sea stretching out to the horizon. The approach is very painterly and delicate with the details of the grasses and sand being particularly delicate.

Signed Else Hermansson 1900-1907, inscribed Ystad, a small town south of Stockholm, dated 1945.

Oil on canvas in a really extravagant and ornate moulded gilt frame. (There is a little damage to some of the frame which is allowed for in the price but please check photos)
