Red Chicken

Mid century abstracted red chicken on a vibrant green, blue, and yellow background. The artist has made good use of impasto to create a lively and interesting painting.

Signed Rune Bergström, 1931-2011, known for his modernist approach, with many of his works held by the Moderna Museet in Stockholm. 

Oil on board in a vintage wood frame with linen insert. There is a small mark on right hand side of frame; it doesn't spoil the joy of the painting and has been allowed for in the price.
