Pansies in Glass

Playful floral painting of pansies in a clear drinking glass. The dark background contrasts with the colourful purple and yellow pansy flowers. 

Signed very faintly in bottom right quadrant,  Margit Blixt-Bjärup (1913-1991),an art teacher, known for her floral and still life paintings,  and widely exhibited in Sweden during her lifetime.  

Pastel on black paper under glass in a vintage wood frame with linen and gilt trim.
