The Meeting

A very entertaining Swedish painting. I am not quite sure what is going on; the figures are very expressive with the man's posture indicating a question and the woman's crossed hands maybe an answer. And then what are the cards and the timer for?

Signed Charles Sjöholm b. 1933 , an artist known for his naive cityscapes and his fun and naive paintings of people. He is widely held in Swedish museums.
