White Daisies and Fruit

Beautiful Swedish still life of white daisies in a green glass beside a bowl of fruit. The colours are bold and exciting and this is a really special painting!

Signed Gunnar John, 1904-1963, dated '57. John studied at the Skäne School of painting in his native Sweden and later at the Danish Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen. His work is held at the Swedish Museum of Modern Art as well as in various galleries throughout the country.
